Abstract

This work explores cell differentiation with a relatively simple dynamical systems model introduced by Kunihiko Kaneko and Tetsuya Yomo around a decade ago. Cell differentiation into two distinct groups of active and sleeping cells is observed and the underlying dynamics of the re- implemented model are investigated in some detail.
