(But, wait until the page has fully loaded first, or else you won't be able to see anything...)

Standing next to the Jungfrau at Murren, a little village high on the cliffside in the Lauterbrunnen valley The Tour of Switzerland peloton whizzes by me on the final climb to Crans-Montana on Stage 6 Me and the legendary Steve in Interlaken The bike becomes 'BENNY'! I found this number plate in a crafts shop near Lake Constance Playing pool in Lucerne with Joseph. We had had a massive fondue earlier Me inside the LHC particle accelerator inside the Microcosm at CERN The majestic Matterhorn, viewed from Zermatt. It stands in stark isolation with everything else The crazy group which attempted the Marmotte in on July 7th 2007. Before you ask, the guy in red is Sean. I am bottom row, second from left. I was SERIOUSLY suffering here. About 2km to go on the L'Alpe d'Huez after riding for 8 hours. The sunglasses hide my broken glare :) I conquered the Simplonpass on my touring bike - it wasn't particularly easy! At Gornergrat at 3100m besides the Matterhorn, the view of 4000m peaks and glaciers was phenomenal The scarcely supported viewing platform at the foot of the Rhine Falls (near Schaffhausen) The scarey Landwasser rail Viadukt. I hung out of the window when the train went over, but didn't take any pics because I thought I would drop my phone! Beautiful Bern Lake Como and Bellagio. The Italian lakes had a nice ambience - plus the weather was glorious and everyone ate Gelati and ragged around on scooters

And here follow all of my photos! ('yes!' I hear you shout in delight!)

The BENNY number plate became legendary throughout Switzerland

To avoid boredom and eventual death, it is probably best to view a Random Slideshow of the photos! OK, so there are some boring photos of trees and church windows in this lot, but hopefully there are also a few gems in too! Enjoy :)

Departure from Geneva Youth Hostel

This is my first memory of the Geneva Hostel. Met Sam and Matt on this bench.
Loads of randoms having breakfast in Geneva. Talked to Vladimir over cornflakes.

The street bike race on my way to Interlaken

Thun
The town square in Thun, near Interlaken
You had to be careful with the handlebar bag! It could easily swing the front wheel and deck your legs!
The street mountain bike race in Thun
I helped the first rider in the picture to blow up his tyre. He exclaimed 'scheisse!' as it initially went down.
Bike race, Thun. Riders had to get off here, then leg it up a massive flight of steps. This guy was third.

Living it up in Lugano

The road to Lugano from Menaggio had lots of tunnels, why I tried to avoid! To avoid 1 tunnel, I cycled up to a mountain village, but there was a dead end at the top!
Yipeee!! I found the Lugano Youth Hostel at last!
Hmmmm, the new Alfa

Night time in Lugano
Aqib and Adil - two brothers I met at the hostel, and had dinner with 1 evening at the local pizza restaurant

...Then my phone battery went dead...

...and the euro adaptor plug I bought from Comet didn't fit in the Italian sockets...and so I have no photos of Verbania or Domodossolla. Luckily though, when I got to the top of the Simplon Pass (in Switzerland again) a lady in the restaurant let me plug my phone in while a scoffed a big bit of cake, and so I got a few shots up here..

The Simplonpass

It was a hard slog on the Tank, starting at about 200m in Italy and climbing to 2000m!

Yey! Made it back to Geneva
Victory! Done it!
Ye-ha. So good to be back in Geneva 1000 miles later
